Hello y'all, I've got a problem with my Mustang. Obviously luck was not on my side down here in the intense southern heat and my intake manifold has cracked. My Mustang is a 98 GT (4.6L 2V) with about 85,000 miles (a little less then that). I've already called and spoken to Ford since I've known about the recall and was told that my car is no longer coverd under the warrenty. Great, they only extended it for 7 years and mileage doesn't matter. So, first question, am I really SOL on Ford fixing this for me? Second question. I've followed the forums for a while now and I like keeping up on performance parts for my car. One of the hangups on my model was that there was never a reasonable option for intake manifolds for my model. A couple of years ago my options were get another plastic intake or the Bullit intake which was close to a grand. I was wondering if anyone ever released an aluminum or performance intake for around $500-600 since it's going to cost me about $800 to get this all fixed up anyway. I appreicate any answers y'all can give me.
