98 to 99+ front bumper swap

i was wondering if you could put in a 99+ front bumper on my 98. the dimensions should be about right and im pretty sure it adjusts in the same spots by the same number of screws and bolts. just wanting to be a little different wanting to put a take off cobra front bumper on my 98 gt. do any of you know someone thats done this? or think it might fit alright? thnx,

anything would fit with some mods seriously, i dont know anyone who did anything like that but the headlights wont fit, hood, i doubt anything would be aligned.

I've seen rear bumpers from the '99-up fitted to a 94-98, but I don't think I've seen a front bumper done that way.

I've seen a 96-98 be completely re-skinned to be a 99+ but just adding 1 piece won't work. Even if it bolts up it would look funny. 96-98 lines are curvey, 99+ are sharp.

I know that the fog lights, even though they look the same on the outside, mount completely differently. The '94-'98 mount to the steel under-bumper. The '99-'04 mount to the cover itself.

I wonder just how much other things changed, which aren't obvious from the outside.
