Is it the same idea as a Cobra upgrade, where the brackets off the 05 bolt to the 98? What about the proportioning valve? Does it need to be changed.

You might as well try to put Porsche brakes on. The mount points are different, offsets are different, everything is different. You'd need some custom brackets. '05's also don't have prop valves. They rely on the ABS to adjust the bias It would be too much work just for a 12" brake when you can just put some 13" Cobra brakes on for $310 and have them bolt right on with no mods.
