99-04 Overhead Storage Net

Hi All..

I'm looking for the Ford Part Number for the overhead storage net that in in the 99-04 Mustangs. Also, how does this attach to the headliner?

Hope someone can help!

Don't know the part number, but just a FYI the overhead cargo net was only available on the 03-04's I believe.

Reason that I ask is that I want it in my 07, I also had an 03 that had it. I REALLLLY miss it.

I guess my option is to go to a junk yard and rip out a headliner and see how its installed.

It was a late addition into the 02 cars. I have a early run 02 and it doesn't have one.

I wish I could find a picture. I searched Google Images for about 10 minutes looking.. Perhaps someone can chime in with a picture.

I forget mine is there, and I never use it. What use can you have for it? It can't hold sunglasses that well, maybe toll tickets or something? My engineering theory.....I would imagine it is probably held on with molded in posts and some of those metal rings that slip over the post, and are a B to get off. Or it is glued on. Either way I think you'll have to pull the headliner to do it right. Why do you ask?

It reminds me of those funky fold down lights in the Fox body cars. Again, out of sight, out of mind.
Call the dealership to get a part number.

Well, I have a 07 and there is no room to store a cell phone or wallet. I only have a cup holder and VERY TINY door pockets. I can’t even fit a paper towel in them. So, I'm looking for storage solutions for my 07 because (thank you ford) there are no easily accessible areas for temporary storage. Granted, the console is there but I don’t know bout you but I don’t store my cell phone there while I'm driving.

Therefore, I was thinking that I could put one of these in my 07 from a 03...

Well, it seems like a good idea. I think the dealer is your only option on this one. There may be something on the aftermarket that is similar.

My 02 has one and I stick all kinds of crap up there. Right now I have 2 pairs of glasses, a couple ink pens and some gas receipts.
