In the last few weeks I have seen several people post about oil sender codes and when you read the post you find that they Pulled the code using the DIAG mode in the cluster. This was pointed out on a bullit website sometime ago and is misleading some into thinking they can diag a check engine light with this. or that they need new senders when in fact the readings are normal.
The DIAG mode and the codes pulled using this method is codes for the cluster module and does not include codes for the PCM,ABS or any other modules.
Plus the codes pulled are hard faults and it's normal to get hard faults for the oil sender when running this test with the engine off.
If you have a check engine light on go and get the code scanned for free at a auto parts store or bring it to a shop to get it fixed.
