99 cobra???

i have a 99 cobra that has a mac inner fenderair filter kit on it..chrome elbow from massair to the inner fender..i would like to take that off and throw it in the garbage...i want to put a long k-n right on the end of the mass air and keep it in the engine bay..what adapter do i need to bolt to my mass air so the filter will slide up on it?also it has a mac cat back exhaust on it..how much louder will it be if i install a offroad x pipe?anyone want to buy the mac cold air kit?
