I have a chance to get a good deal on an 1999 explorer 5.0 engine to drop in my 69 mustang. I haven't decided if I want to mess with EFI conversion yet so I'm thinking carb right now. I know I need to change to a front sump oil pan and also change the timing cover to allow for the dipstick. Will my timing cover from my 69 302 bolt on to the explorer engine? Will my C4 trans bolt up? Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.
