I have a 99 GT that is rarely driven. i use stabilizer. recently, i just put in a fresh battery. when i apply the throttle quickly, there is some heaitation (no fuel?) with an intake sucking noise. if i apply the throttle slowly, it seems to run fine. it idles smoothly. any thoughts?
No I have not changed the fuel filter. This car has less then 30,000 miles on it. Do you think it could still be an issue? The hesitation is only right off of Idol. Driving the car is feeling normal. Only off of idol which is around $800 p.m. is there a hesitation with aggressive throttle applications.
With the car sitting as you describe, I would definitely change the fuel filter. Even with stabilizer, there can be crud plugging the filter. It is a cheap item especially if it solves the issue.
