Just spray it out with a pressure washer with the car running

That's not fair. I've been driving V8 Mustangs since i was 16

im glad she is ok as well as the car
even if you drop the car ass first off of a building it wouldnt back up to the engine
why not take the catback off and have a look? if being careful is your goal, id suggest this method

COBRA90GT said:It should be OK, I wouldn't worry about the mud making its way all the way up into the engine. If you suspect mud is still trapped inside the catback (as far up as the mufflers perhaps), then remove the one side of the catback and spray it out with a pressure washer...
BTW - Where at on I-94 did this happen? I I-94 can get pretty yucky out there on the eastside during bad weather...
