99 mustang clutch pedal horrible engagement

Just installed a max motorsports quadrant and ford racing firewall adjuster. Engagement is an inch off the top of the pedal, which does not work for a 6' guy like me. any ideas how to fix this besides buy a MM clutch pedal adjuster?

Lengthen the cable a bit, which will add slack and lower the clutch pedal... You do this by screwing the firewall adjuster in.
