I own a 99 mustang 3.8l with 106,000 miles, I took it to a local shop to get some basic maintence done and now my transmission is having some serious problems. When I drive the car the transmission doesnt seem to know when to shift, it will straight redline if i let it. It will shift if i back off the gas (about %10 throttle around 2k rpm) if I put the gas to the floor it will rev to about 6k and then hard shift or sometimes it wont shift at all. the tranny isn't grinding or making an abnormal noises. I'm not sure what entirely controls the shifting but ive already checked for engine codes, vacum leaks, and tranny fluid levels. Ive haven't had any transmission problems before and the car has never been ragged on. Please Help!
