99 V6 to MK8 swap no spark

i would personally start with the fuel pump relay. if its pulling in and voltage is in the 10 gauge wire woing back to the fuel pump. the wire travels jst behind the fual tank. it has a quick disconnect. check for volatage there if u have it at the relay.

if the relay doesnt pull in, you knwo where to lok, fuses etc. one concern 96pcm uses a return pump not a variable duty like 99. im not familiar with the 99 v6 pump. does it have a 79-97 fuel pump in it?

no bill it doesnt do you think i should change my tanks?

i have a tank here with pump from a 97 GT

i dont see any 10g wire that runs from the front to the back in this car there is 2 wires that run back to the fuel pump driver module and they are wht/red and LB/orange they run to the module and then a bunch of wires run to the pump

Try this, used it to figure out a fuel pump problem. Spray a small amount of starting fluid into the throttle body, then attempt to start. If it does it will run for 5-10 seconds, if so check your fuel system. If not you may have a PATS issue and it will disable ignition, it allows the car to crank but the engine will not fire.

sorry guys i forgot to update this but as of today i have spark and i have 12v at the hot side of the injector and according to the mutimeter my injectors are firing and i did a lil wiring for the fuel pump and deleted the fpcm and put in plave a relay instead and now it comes on but in the process of crankin the motor my starter fried ...so i checked things out and my battery was reading 17.31 volts ......guess i left the charger on too long and i didnt even notice what it was set on either.....so i checked all my sensors fuses and relays and everything seems to be fine just aint eggting nothing out of the starter it just clicks...so replaced the battery with another one i had layin around and the starter still clicks so tomorrow i am headin to the junk yard to get another starter and try that....

but another question i have is the fuel return line that i added now i did use pressure fittings and everything but i had to add the return line (my car was a V6 and had a returnless style fuel system)

the thing in this picture is it needed for fuel pressure to stay in the rail? cause it doesnt seem that i am able to keep fuel pressure at the rail thus i am not getting any fuel in the cylinders so i am wondering if it to keep fuel pressure in the rail or is there something i can buy to help keep the fuel pressure up?

OK BACK TO SQUARE ONE....

no spark again i think i did a boo boo though.......

first of all the wire off the 99 gt harness for PCM pin #62 is the fuel tank pressure transducer and i have no place to hook it up on my MK8 PCM but i thought i had a cover on it....turns out i didnt and it carries a low voltage to it which i didnt know and it accidentally got it up against the PCM and now i have no spark it started doin this yesterday when i over charged my battery and got that wire up against my pcm
did i fry my PCM or is it something else......

crank sensor is brand new and reading correctly on the bench test

well finally i have spark.....turns out i had the crank sensor hooked up backwards...duhhhhhhhhhh
my injectors are firing i hooked the multi meter to them and the voltage goes up then down the back up then down so i know they are working....

BUT

no i have no fuel.......

at the harness wher it goes down through the trunk there is a small red wire and a small yellow wire which are for the gauge
then there is the weird wires that i dont know what they are for and cant find them in any diagram that i have

they are: blk/orange, brown/pink, red/black, and brown/white

the red/black is supposed to be a ground and the brown and pink is supposed to be a hot wire the others i have no idea

whats funny is the red/black wire has power going to it which i know is wrong dont know why or where it goes or comes from

then at my fuel pump driver module the LB/orange wire pulses with the test light even with the key off i dont know why this is either

anyone know what i should do? Bill?

I TOLD YOU, I TOLD YOU, I TOLD YOU, I TOLD YOU,

ITS ALIVE

it was a blown fuse but i can only get it to start when i pour fuel into the intake through the one vacuum tube cause i think i fubared the my fuel tank...... i put my own return in in a fuel tank that had a returnless system theat and the one plasdtic line in the tank that goes from the actual pump to the top of the the fuel pump (inside the tank) has a pin hole in it so i am not building any pressure but i dont think the V6 pump is gonna build enough pressure anyway so i have a tank from a 97 GT with a pump and sending unit with a return line

and i already got rid of the fpcm and replaced it with a relay
