99 window problems

Does anyone know how to cut off or take out the automatic power window full up or down feature , I have a 99 convert & the regulator is week link I have changed the power motor but when the window goes all the way down on the auto mode it gets to end & makes that clanking sound like it wants to keep going , I would need a whole door as I cant find a new regulator & its a tough job to tear the whole door apart to replace it ....thanks in advance

You need a new regulator, they are not tough to find there are lots of them at the Ford parts counter.

I just had to do mine and made a thread about it with pictures and everything.

yep reading all the posts thats it in a nutshell there is also a guide which keeps the gear on the regulator from jumping off , that guide is also a small weak part I was able to bend it so now the window does go all the way back up its not that easy a job , I have it working for now I really wanted to just cut that wire so the automatic window lowering on the drivers side would not work as it seems everyone I have never hear about the same problem its the drvers side ...thanks again
