OK, I am on my 3rd TFI module.

Can I relocate this thing like they did in the 94-95? Wiring isn't that big of a deal to me (94-95 GT cluster in my dash swapped 93). But I was unsure if I can use the Procomp billet Dizzy I have now and extend the 3 connections from the TFI Module to relocated one, or should I swap to the 94-95 dizzy, and use a 94-95 TFI module and make a shielded harness for it.

Right now I am using Autozone modules and they aren't giving me any crap yet for bringing them back.

Any Ideas or suggestions?

Stop buying Autozone modules. That would be a step int he right direction. I'd try a FOMOCO before I'd start chopping up the harness.

I would buy a motorcraft tfi module and remotely mount it. I put mine under where the stock air filter box used to be. Extending the wires was no big deal and the shielded wires i made were much better than fords paper like foil shielding, of the three wires going from module back to distributor, only the pip signal wire needs shielding, the other two are power and ground, of the six wires going to the big grey module plug, only three were shielded by ford with cheap paper like foil. I made my shielded wires by wrapping 16 gauge insulated wire with bare thinner wire and wrapping that with heavy duty aluminum foil and wrapping that with rubber tape and you ground the bare wire to the chassis on one end of shielded wire only, not both ends. You also use heat sink grease from radio shack, on tfi module, not dielectric grease. I put fine emory cloth on top of my marble countertop and took the tfi module and ran it back and forth until the metal backing is perfectly flat, same with the heatsink i used and with the heatsink grease you will be good to go.

I have to have said it a thousand times on this forum, NO electronics from chain stores, unless of course you like doing things over and over.

None of the aftermarket tfi's last, doesn't matter where you mount it.

Get a ford unit.

I have an MSD Pro Billet distributor, and the TFI module on that only lasted a couple hundred miles. Needless to say the old Motorcraft TFI module off my stock distributor in it's place and still works great! MSD made good on the faulty module, and replaced it, but I don't trust them (module) now. The Motorcraft will stay on!

Another vote for the Motorcraft TFI.

I'd run a junkyard motor craft before I run a parts store tfi.

I actually carry with me in my glovebox, a motor craft tfi I got from a bombard (tested first) along with the tfi tool and heat sink grease.

I still run the 23-year old original tfi on my car.

I have some artic silver 5 (silver based thermal grease used primarily in the PC industry), a motorcraft module, and my dizzy uses phillips screws (procomp billet al. unit) in my glove box now.

I went to ford and bought 2.

But I still like the idea of moving it from all the heat. I have some PC heatsink/fan combo's that I would love to use for a TFI sink. To keep it cooler would have to make it last longer right?
