My a/c compressor seems to have gone out. I am looking at the a/c eliminator kits and I see most of them replace the compressor pulley....I was just curious why not change the bald idler pulley (above the tensioner) to a 6 rib pulley and just wrap the belt around it, bypassing the A/C all together? maybe there is a kit out there like that, that i cannot find.?.? it seems to me a design like that would gain you more horsepower as well.
