a/c & heater control

heater and a/c controls dont work. stays on defrost. i found the vaccuum line but i dont know where to plug it in. its connected on the control panel end, but i have no idea where to plug the other end. can someone please help? i hope im explaining this correctly. thanks in advance

thank you for the reply. i have seen this diagram before, but it doesnt really show me where this yellow vacuum hose plugs in. when im looking behind the function control assembly, what am i looking for? where is this located?n any help is appreciated and thanks again

That yellow line runs from the panel to the canister shown in the diagram. You'll have to contort yourself on the drivers side and look up above the gas pedal with a flashlight. Should be a goldish colored cylinder that looks like a small fuel filter.

You couldn’t ask for a better description how to find that goldish looking canister.

thanks for the info. i found it earlier today but thats a great pic.. camera phone i assume? theyre great for those hard to reach places.


i hooked the connection up but i still got nothin, still stays on defrost setting.

im gonna learn some yoga so i can crawl up in there.. my wife was laughing at me cuz i had my feet in the air and my head in the floorboard. someone should get a pic of that

thanks for the info though, any sugestions on why it still doesnt work? im gonna double check the connections in the morning but everything looked pretty good earlier..
