Hey guys, I just got back from my work (auto shop) from recharging my ac system. Well when I turn the A/c on my suction pressure goes down to 30psi ( which Is good) but the high side shoots to over 400PSI and the machine reconizes a high pressure fault so it throws out an error on the machine. I know I have a restriction in the high pressure side but where? I never had a problem with the AC before I reclaimed it so i could break the ac line connections at the firewall so I could replace my heater core. Now its showing an obvious problem on the high side. The compressor is working so its been ruled out as a problem. I'm think maybe an orrifice tube or something? What do you guys think?

Did you charge the system recently? I would evacuate the system and start over, especially if you have free access to the evacuation machine at your work. R134a is cheap.... a lot cheaper than a new compressor or worse.

Another thought.... when you did the work, did you flush the system or clean it in any way? Do you have enough PAG oil? If you have old oil and it was not properly evacuated, its possible that the oil and atmospheric water vapor have made it coalesce and thicken. Just another thought High side is something I stay away from.
