a/c line discontinued

So I dropped off my car for a tune and a few other things. Unfortuneately I didn't do a good enough job of bending the a/c line out of the way when I mounted the s/c and it rubbed the a/c pulley and rubbed through the rubber line.

The tuner shop says Ford discontinued the part so they are going to have to bring it to an a/c special place to have the part made, and it will cost about 2 hrs to replace it. (at $95 an hr.). costly mistake number one.

and apparently the motorcraft plugs I used are still to hot. $180 to replace those. I told them just do it, cuz I just want my car back and running right before winter comes would be nice.

which hose is it? is it the one that runs from the compressor to the condensor? thats the only one i would think would be in the vicinity of your supecharger. i had to replace mine too. if its the same hose, its not discontinued. ford sales them for about $280 but i got mine from rock auto and paid $112 for the exact motorcraft hose. the only bad thing is that it is back ordered and i won't have it for another 10 days.

maybe this doesnt have to do anything to do with that but my stang has a coolant problem combined witht the a/c; the cars is fine when the air is on 2 but when put on full blast(just did it so the car could get cooler, but i wasnt driving it) the a/c starts to feel hot and the temperature goes up in a matter of seconds! i get home and there is no coolant at all! i look under(after putting a whole gallon again and keeps draining down but doesnt not leak from the the bottom and dont know where thr coolant goes!

ebay? junk yards!? Should be able to get that stuff CHEAP.

I've just had all new custom lines made for a fox turbo car at my shop, I had $208 in it total...

$180 is a little steep for a plug change on a 4.6l, or im too cheap. I use NGK plugs which come put to about $36 a set, plus an hour labor (most shops minimum charge) and im still under $100 total.

the a/c line is the rubber part that goes in front of the a/c pulley. had to bend it out of the way for the s/c but bent it too close to the pulley.

anyway I know I got pretty raped on the whole thing but this is the only place that really knows what they are doing tuning wise around here. $680 for the tune alone and then some extra misc charges and my total bill was $1500. ouch, but it runs great now.
