I just picked up an '88 GT and am trying to get the A/C working. I know that at some point the motor was swapped. Everything for the A/C system is there but I can't find the wiring that goes to the A/C clutch anywhere. Could anyone identify for me, where the wire runs from and what colors they are. The Hayne manual didn't have the diagram for the '88, only the '87. Is it the same. (black w/ yellow) I've search all over the compartment and can't find anything.

Thanks

Everything seems to be hooked up. There just isn't anything going to the compressor. I'v looked from under the car and above and can't find a plug to go to the A/C. I was hoping to find out what other things are fed from the wire loom that the compressor plug is in so I know what area to look. On an 88 LSC 5.0 motor I have, the compressor is fed off the same loom as the coolant temperature sender, but my car is different.

Thanks

I believe that the wiring harness that feeds the A/C clutch has two wires and they are black and black w/ yellow tracer. It should be on the drivers side of the engine compartment. If you can find the WOT A/C cutout relay you might be able to trace it out to where the harness is or should be. If you can't find the relay you can start at the A/C low pressure switch and trace from there. It should remain a black w/ yellow tracer from the pressure switch to the relay and then on to the clutch. That is the 12v to the clutch.

Thanks for the info. I did pick up a black w/ yellow from the wot relay. I f I'm still on the right wire on the driver side, it goes to a 3 wire harness where it is terminated. I'll keep looking into it.

Thanks
