A couple of question for Vortech owners

I want to run between 8 to 10 psi.
What rpm do you start to see boost?
What rpm do you see full boost?
And what size crank and blower pulley you have?

when i had the stock pullies (3.33/6.87) i started to see boost just before 3500 and it came on full around 5500 or so. Now with my 8" crank pulley i see boost around 2700 and then 14lbs at 5500.

I run a max of 11psi at 6000 rpms. I am using the stock pulleys, which is a 6.87 crank and a 3.33 blower, along with a PowerPipe. I see boost at all RPMs, although it may not be much. At 2000 rpms I see about 2-3psi and at 4,000 rpms I see 7psi. From 4,000-6000rpms the boost gradually rises to 11psi.

Do you guys have new motors? I have a blue printed and balanced motor and I don't like taking it past 5800 let alone waiting for full boost.

If its balanced and blue printed why you worried about taking it to 6000.

Boost is made as the rpm climb on most belt driven kits.

I guess I feel like it hurts the motor. I like the idea of a kenne bell full boost @ 2800 rpm.

It is all about power production not just the rpms.

Then this should be a turbo kit. It'll make power down low like a Kenne-Bell, AND power up top like a Vortech. I can't think of another advantage the Vortech or any supercharger) hasover a Turbo.
EXCEPT, there is not a legal turbo kit for us in California....
