To Dave's defense...

There is thoroughly knowing how an engine works
There is thoroughly knowing how a tuning application works
There is thoroughly knowing how the computer itself works

You only need to know the first two to get great dyno results out of a car while tuning it.

You need to know all three to get great dyno results and drivability 3 months after the tune.

When it comes to the A9L or similar <95 computers, its never been shown to me that theres anyone in this town brilliant at all 3. It may in fact be impossible. THere may be noone alive wiht all 3 anywhere. Otherwise I would have had someone tune my little stock longblock for a few HP. For other cars, mustangs with other computers, some of our community may be very good. But the thread started with a post about a fox body car.

All just in MY opinion, of course.

Well you forgot the most important point

EXPERIENCE :nice:

1. Terry Ryan probably the most experience in town with a basic set of parts just went 9.8 @ 136 no breakage

Cars I tuned

Sandis 2000 gt driven too and from the track 11.1 @ 129 never broke !!

909's my revolution chip enough said about driveability

and many more :)

If ferrycanary is going to tell me im clueless then what is his experience??

And chris i guess we will have to do a 2 out of 3 race between you and nate

EXPERIENCE

Sure... but not a single one of those relates in any way to understanding stock <95 computers. Dave's implication is that you dont. My point is that thats pretty normal. Im not making any shocking insults here. Dont turn beet red and start typing furiously because of MY post.

And bringing up your experience on Sandi's car in this forum... is a little dangerous.

Re: Nate... I'll race him 3 times instead of one... why?

Dave's implication is that you dont.

.....Dave was just plain rude :nono:

........Why it was fast soon to be faster!! hate her if you want that is thier problem .

Re: Nate... I'll race him 3 times instead of one... why?

I see a heavy SN95 with a few extra heavy parts added. And someone is trying to dress up the car for a Flashdance 80's party with cool flourescent tape.

Do you have a fetish for heavy girls in 80's clothes, Eric??? :D

yea, it's gonna be pretty heavy ;)

Good thing we race the cars not the scales eh?

Joe, you missed the entire point, didn't you? Sigh... so I will try to make it clear...

1. No amount of name calling can take what you said and make it any more correct -- we are talking about objective fact. And no amount of experience grants you the omnipotence required to alter reality to suit your whim. The Ford EEC does in fact function in a particular way, and except within the bounds of calibration that behavior is not changeable.

(and before I go any further, I would like to point out that what you meant was "fairy", not "ferry". If you are going to waste keystrokes calling names, at least try to spell it right, okay?)

2. Your repeated jabs at Chris to collect monies allegedly owed to you is childish and tiresome. It does not matter one bit whether or not you are in the right, or wrong, in any case the public forum is the wrong place to take up that disagreement.

And Eric... until you know enough about the EEC to at least understand that it is not possible to flash an A9L calibration to a T4M0, it would seem logical to stay out of a discussion related to tuning the EEC.

Have a nice day,

Dave
