Both drip rails welded in place

Both quarters on and so are the drip rails the roof is welded front and back but i still have the weld to the drip rails

Time to work smarter not harder . The hardest area is the quarters to the lower rear window panel i used to use a ratchet strap around the car to pull this area together i wemt to harbor freight and bought a pull ram ,i had some jaw clamps already . Clamp the jaw clamps by the end of the window opening and simply draw them together ,couldnt be any easier it draws that sucker up tight with no fuss . I test fitted the trunk lid and end caps and we are going to have a very good fit .

The out side is done except for grinding welds . I had to work the trunk lid a bit but i always have to .fits pretty darn good though .
The inside just needs the brackets and a full floor but the floor will not take long .

Yeah ,its turning out great ,going to have to wait a bit for the new floor but it will be worth it in the long run

The drip rail around the back and quarter window area . It will come on the full car body but you cant buy it separately for a conversion

Dont you just hate waiting on parts ? Looks like it is going to be this way for a while .
I ordered high strength axles for the Yamaha 3 weeks ago ,got the axles last friday but still waiting on a spare set of keys . I want to start on my 56 fairlane but i am sure it will be the same thing ,wait ,wait ,wait !

Just got an email from the parts distributor. Crossing my fingers we get it on the 30th still!

That would be nice ,i would remove the old floor but i would hate to not get the new one so i will wait for the new one to come in .

@horse sence I sure wish that they would sell it separate. Quite a bit of that on my original convertible s rotted away.

You might consider taking a swim off the coast of CA to go get it. Unless you are really buffed you might consider taking several "water wings" in order to bring it back to shore . . . .
