I just got my Mac Longtubes... so i gots a few Q's

1. High temp thread locker on header bolts??? yes or no?

2. High temp RTV on the ball sockets for the collector and the H pipe to catback joint?? yes or no?

3. I already have the UPR K- Member kit... will i have enough room to install the headers without dropping the K??

4. A dude at the performance shop here told me that if i dont buy high grade locking header bolts then i can just drill a hole in the heads of each bolt and run a few wires between em to keep them from backing out.. what do you think about that?? (this is the same guy who made log turbo headers out of 90* angle iron.. so i dont know if i should believe him)

THANKS GUYS!!!!!!!! :SNSign: :SNSign:

For the header bolts use ANTI-SEIZE, no thread locker is needed. I have installed several sets of headers with no locking hardware in the past with no problems. If you torque them down in the correct order and properly heat-cycle them, there should be no problems. Some use high-temp RTV on the header gaskets, I have never tried this. As far as using the RTV at the ball socket connections, I wouldn't unless you encounter a leak. If everything mates up correctly you don't need it.
