Yeah, here soon i need to be sure that my hood won't fit as is.. Then if it doesn't fit there is a guy on TM that sells or modifieds the enlet elbow... I was told that it would fit but im also second guessing that too.
If all else fails i will just do some custom notching of the hood.
As for the hood clearance, Im assuming you're talking about the intake clearance? A friend of mine has that intake on his 427 and he had the base of the intake elbow angle milled for it to clear the hood. Here's a full size pic of his engine, http://highoutputgt.homelinux.net/images/latest/6-1-2006 072.jpg
Well a couple problems came up now. I asked Brian about the hood clearance. And He looked at the pictures and said that the k-member i used was a lot higher then the d&d or QA1 k-member. So I am going to see if i can sell my k-member and get a different one to fix the problem. Meanwhile i had everything cut for the taller one.. hopefully it doesn't look too bad.
Second: I finally got my wilwood break kit in today and its for a 12 bolt chevy and not a 9" rear end. Im pretty sure this problem will be handled without incident but i have been waiting for a couple months for that kit.
