A few V-8 swap questions

I have a '96 3.8, and I'm gonna do a 5.0 swap. I just have a few questions about it.

1. Can the K-member be modified to work? or do i need one form a gt?
2. Does the engine harness have to be from a mustang? If it does, will one from an 87-93 mustang work?
3. Does the dash harness have to come from a 94-95 GT? or will the 87-93 work?
4. The motor I have is from a '91 Crown Vic, will the mustang computer read right for it? Also does the computer need to be from 94-95 or will the 87-93 work?


If someone could please answer 1 or more of these questions that would really help me out. I am trying to get everything ready to start the swap next week.

If you use the Fox Body electronics, I would suggest using a A9L computer. You'll need to switch to a fox ignition. The K-member will work. I know there's no difference in a 95 6 and a 95 8, but i'm not sure if the 96 is set up differently.

I don't think it matters where the motor is from since it's always a good idea to get a tune anyway.

Talk with SorsCode in the 5.0 forums. He does v8 swaps frequently.
