I am kind of bored so I figured what the hell. I have to thank Stang22 for posting a pic of his car with a few different wheel choices. I stole his idea, but I hope he doesn't mind. I kind of like these wheels on my car.

What do you guy's think?

They're similar to Cobra R's, but really ... what's so bad about that? If they were so terrible to look at, they wouldn't have sold so darned many sets of 'em over the years.

I dig 'em. Go for it.

Thats exactly why I don't like the wheels. Everyone and their brother has those wheels, just like flows. And they don't look killer on a fox to boot imo.

OP: Those wheels look good on there though. Sorta like R's but a lot different. I say go for it.

I don't mean go for 'em on the basis that they look like Cobras, or that Cobras are cool in and of the fact that everyone else has 'em - just stating a fact that they're obviously not too hideous if they've got mass appeal. I totally agree with you on the idea of going with something that hasn't been done a thousand times over by everyone else, though - that's why I'm still hangin' with my weird-painted 10-holes and rigging up a side-exit exhaust instead of the traditional rear-exit.

There's a fine line between being nonconformist and being outright eccentric - I tend to sway a little both ways of that line. :D

So, again, those SSR wheels rock ... just so long as you're sporting 5-lugs with rear discs, too.

I really hate to bring this up guy's, but let's understand what exactly we have here. Ford made a lot of Fox body Mustangs in the 15 years they were in production. It's damn near impossible to do something no one else has done before with these cars. That's pretty much an oxy moron.

If we wanted to do something different, we would drive a Porsche or Farrari or something not a lot of people have.

And this hatered for the Cobra R's is rediculous. How many ****ing times is the band wagon gonna drive through here? LOL. Everyone disses the R's. The funny thing is there are relatively no aftermarket parts out there that are not played out. Am I the only one that see's this?

How about this:
**** everyone that has any Cervini's parts are their cars....posers...
....anyone that has any form of aftermarket exhuast....copycats...
....**** AFR and their non-original because everyone has them asses...
....Edlebrock, come on....
....Trickflow?...yep, **** them too...
....and this business of disc brakes, HUH....drums all around, that's what I say. Now noone is doing that....Who's gonna be the trend setter? Your all a bunch of gutless sheep!!!!

LOL

Looks amazing :nice: Would you do the red calipers too b/c that looks kick a$$ with your car.

You know, I always thought that it wouldn't look good because my car is red, but it does look pretty sweet in the pic. That was the first thing that I noticed after I finished it. I think that I am going to paint them.

OMG - it's true!! *proceeding to cry myself to sleep*

9deuce - you're absolutely right! We drive mustangs - love or hate em, they are an american icon that almost eveyone knows something about - whether they own one or their friends brothers cousin knew carrol shelby who personally built them one. Point is, these cars are very popular and it is very difficult if not impossible to have every item on these cars be an "original" idea and still look good. I could take a crap on my hood and call it original. Why is it that no one else does it? because it looks and smells like crap. I've learned one thing through the course of my ownership - you have to build your car to your own liking not anyone elses. Whether it's an "original" idea or something others have already done, all that matters is that you like it. BTW - I still think R wheels look good - no matter what Poopdawg says. :)

I cant say I like em,but they dont look bad either. If you like em,do it. As far as 90's post, Id have to agree. I like the R's cause they look damn good on a fox or a Sn95.Those wheels, like the Magnum 500's and the AR torquethrusts(recently renamed Bullitts by the masses) are synonymous with the name Mustang. The one thing that I dont like about your chopped rims, as that they look european to me, like they are more at home on a Porsche or Ferrari than an American muscle car.I think its the split spoke and the lip screws(or imtiation screws to give them the appearance of being 3 piece wheels-cant tell from the pic if the are funcional or not) but like I said, they dont look bad, just out of place to me
