a little tweecer help please

I just got my tweecer (regular model) and I am overwelmed. I have searched this site and others including the yahoo one and can't find this answer. When you write to your tweecer on the Cal edit there is a pull down that starts with A9L. I assume that is a computer family for fox bodies. I can't find out which one I should set it on to write my programs to the tweecer. I did hear that ZAO would work for us 94-95 guys cause it was for the 95 Cobra R. But didn't that model have a 351 in it? Can I get a little help guys? There is 28 different settings to choose from!!!!!

Tweecer help

Your strategy should be CBAZA. Your EECIV code is either W4H0 or T4M0, the 94 Cobra's were J4J1 and will work too. They have a more agressive spark curve and fuel settings.

Most people find that with H/C/I mods the J4J1 tune works pretty well for a starting point.

The older Tweecer software used to automatically detect the strategy but the new 1.3 doesn't.

Hope this helps.

yeah, i was told to start off with the j4j1 too. i compare the t4m0 to the j4j1 and tried to change the differences here and there from the t4m0 to the j4j1 cause my car refuses to stay running on the j4j1. im trying very very hard to get my car running better cause i know it has more to her but i know the feeling you have right now trying to read and read and read but it would be nice for someone to try and help you specifically.....g'luck with it and just read ur ass off

Our code is really CBAZA? I use the ZA0 on my twEECer because that's what I thought our T4M0 or J4J1 were catagorized under. I know the ZA0 is the 95 Cobra R computer, but I thought our normal GT or Cobra computers were in the ZA0 family. I've had no problems... should I start using the CBAZA strategy?

O by the way GTWayne, the T4M0 has the more aggressive spark and fuel tables compared to the J4J1. I know this because I'm running a J4J1 tune with the T4M0 spark and fuel tables copied into it. The T4M0 or W4M0 have more spark at higher RPMs and more fuel across the table. I'm thinking about compiling a website or something describing all the twEECing I've done. It seems like everyone on the twEECer boards always just say "well it depends on your cam" or "make changes that work." Just sort of vague, unhelpful information. The most important things to do are dial in your MAF transfer(the 30 point based off the 9 point that comes from Pro-M), change injector sizes if applicable, and set your idle speeds. After that its all about your spark and fuel tables.

well, I don't have a laptop to datalog to, so I'm didn't spring for the extra $ for the RT model. And right now, I wouldn't know what to look for anyway. The CBAZA shows up in the bottom right hand corner of the input/output page of the CalEdit right under the J4J1. I'm not talking about that, CBAZA is not an option in the pull down menu to the right of the..... write, read EEC, and read Tweecer buttons. I can't get my car to run with a basic J4J1! It boggs and sucks. I tried downloading some bins from the yahoo groups and none of them work either. I set my basic timing back to 10 to start and hooked up everything according to the manuel and it sucks. My car should run on the base Cobra tune (J4J1), look at my mods, it's nothing earth shaking. I am very frustrated

ZA0 is correct, on the newer versions of CalEdit the strategy for that family of processors is CBAZA, ZA0 is not an option from the pull down menu. This strategy selects the correct table, scalar and function list so the data populates correctly. Try selecting A9L and notice how wacky the values look.

You are correct about the spark tables being more aggressive in T4M0 and W4H0 but the overall tune in the J4J1 is more aggressive. I should have been more specific.

I'd like to see your tweecing results as well. Let me know. I'm always willing to share info.
