cool, man! i'm really liking the mk5's, especially the 2-door gti's. it's honestly tempting not to buy one now that i'm looking for another project car (stang is being picked up saturday ).

i don't know what wheels they are -- they do look like those on the r8, though.

let's see your vdub!

I struggled to get this one pic. Out of focus because i was shaking after the gym.

I need some 20 percetn tint and HIDs. I have a friend who will get me HIDs at cost, so that will get done this year.

http://www.hartmannwheels.com/1-425-895-0000/wheels/Audi/1

this is the company that makes all the audi replica wheels.

Where did you order yours?

I have some pretty interesting taste when it comes to what wheels I like for the jetta. I love the wheels on your car, but I also like the G5 wheels, the jetta GLI wheels with the 5 circles and the a8 19s. believe it or not, I have seen those on a GTI and they look SIIICK

nice! silver is a sweet color.

are you talking about the Huff wheels?

love the look -- and that's stock, too! just needs a drop and some spacers, imho.

took a look at that wheel site you posted -- my wheels definitely look like r8 rip-offs, though not 100% (mainly where he spoke mets the circumference). they were already on the car when i got it, but i had to order a replacement since one, actually 2, were bent. got it from wheelmax.com -- closest i could find to my rip-offs.

the HID's are gonna make a huge difference, especially if they're in a projector housing w/ a cut-off. i'm thinking about pulling mine apart to 1. paint the silver rings inside them, and 2. to lessen the sharp angle of the Euro cut-off -- seems a little too extreme.

That looks mean Paul. I'm sad to hear that your stang is being sold though.

If I had a VW, these are definitely the wheels that I'd have on it. They look sick!

they are 19s and look so much better. I wish someone would make the Huffs in 19s

Oh no, I just found a company that makes them... now I am cursed with knowing my dream is out there waiting to be plucked.

I would want the circles in black though, not gunmetal

Thanks, Paul -- i'm said to see it go.. i'd love to keep it, but I can't afford to have 4 cars and pay insurance on all of them. there are a few things that i'd change if i would've kept it, but i'm really looking forward to a new project -- maybe a Cervini C500?

that white Golf w/ the rs4's looks s1ck! but i would be satisfied w/ the Huffs, even in 18's. i'm really considering getting an mk5 Golf in the near future -- if i could find a black one w/ stock HID's and 18" Huffs, i'd be really happy.

since Jimmi brought this thread up to me, here's an update -- hid goodness (euro cut-off):

got the lower grills + fog light kit, and ditched the horrid angel eyes:

output of just the fogs:

also bought a replacement front bumper (the tabs that hold the lip up to the stocker were broken so the lip was sagging on both sides) for $65 new in box yesterday @ a local salvage parts place -- fitment is about 98% perfect and the lip is already molded on! pics of that after i have it painted.

Good god man...that is some light. You trying to get a plane to land on the street?

Sorry your selling the stang but it sounds like you have plenty of toys to keep you busy.

I have to say some of those Vdubs are well done. Would not mind getting a 1.8T golf/jetta/passat (pissant I like to call them) or a TDI of some kind. An uncle has like 3 or 4 TDI's one well I guess its not a TDI since it was before they had a turbo. I have always kinda wondered if he would let one go cheap-ish as a DD/beater/small project?
