Ok I know this may seem petty. but I have to ask. I have a squeak coming form the right hand side of the dash. I have taken out the glove and the vent and the pillar cover. I cannot find the !@#$ squeak!!! Has anyone had a similar problem? Pleeeez offer any input to a solution!! Happens all the time every little bump in the road!!

Is it more of a "cricket" sound? Some Mustangs will develop this squeak over tim, mine did. But it may be outside the car and not the interior. The cowl cover at the base of the window over time will develop a "chirp" that comes from the clips that hold the cover down. You can test is by slightly pushing up and down on cowl. I also tened to have the problem in the winter.
My solution was to remove the cowl and put electrical tape on the clips and reconnected them to the car. No more "chirp".

Dude if that fixes the problem , you are the king of the world. I recently cracked the cowl also, maybe this is part of the problem.

I also think it is the cowl, the problem gets worse in cold weather. HOWEVER, it is impossible to remove your cowl when the ambient temperature is below 65F and NOT CRACK IT!!! You say yours is already cracked but it could get worse if you mess with it in the cold. If you have access to a heated garage, that is the best choice. New cowls are $150 from 50Resto.

I hope this is your problem, as it is an easy fix. But remember what Kilgore said. They are easier to break when they are cold and have some age on them. I did mine when it was about a year old and in the summer, so it was a cinch.

Well you were both right. I did crack it and I also found the noise. It was coming from between the windshield and the body. there is some sticky goo onder the winshield , I guess to maintain a seal and a little rock had become lodged in the goo. So every little bump it would scrape the glass! I cleaned it out with a C. card and the sound was gone. Thank god!! I was going !@#$%^Z& nutz!!!! Thanks for the advice gents.
