the one that is going to salisbury will be spending a lot of time in Ocean City. I used to live there and it was a lot of fun.

The Man Cave is just about completed. Things left- Painting the bathroom (look at the pic, old paint kinda peachy), Paint entry door and bathroom door semi-gloss white. Then I'm installing my Bose system. My wife wants a small fridge, microwave and one of those long oscillating fans (Plasma TV putting of some heat). I'm pricing out a gaming PC now. This room got really expensive, but it's worth it to us. So far every night me and the boys are hanging in there. Last night Monday Night Football.

The Armoir in this picture is really a desk. The bottom slide to the right, has a spot for the keyboard, the doors open, big spot for a monitor and a bunch of shelves. Good way to have a desk then close it all up and looks like furniture.

Many of you like the Panny Viera Plasma 50". Well it's now on Steroids. Hooked up the router and cable modem to the system. Whoa. Pandora, Netflix, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Here you go. Before the comments start with the radio stations, my son's radio stations are mixed in with mine (he has an iPod Touch, me iPhone4 both with Pandora).

That's exactly what is above your post, Panny Viera 50" Plasma 1080p w/ WiFi. Get a router hooked up to it ASAP.

Boring day for me yesterday and today. I work at a company here in Los Angeles that runs a bunch of web sites, and the one I'm working on is launching a new version of the site tomorrow. All yesterday and today is testing, looking for bugs. Guess I did my job too well, no bugs found so I'm sitting here boooored....

I suppose it's OK, I start a new job on 9/6. I won't have to deal with this one for much longer.

Yup Yup. One of the reasons I bought it was this post. My Hitachi 50" Ultravision LCD dropped the cooling fans and won't turn on. First breakdown in 6 years, so I am not complaining too much. Gonna take a while to get parts, so the kids will have a sweet upgrade from the 35" Sony CRT they have right now when it finally gets fixed.

I am actually hardwiring the TV to my router. I have the hole in the floor where the modem hooks up anyhow, so its just a matter of getting 25 feet of cat5 cable to run across the basement ceiling. That's gotta wait though, since tomorrow is neck repair day...

Something about wireless in my house is fishy. I don't know if there is interference, a weak router signal or what, but my laptop sitting 10 feet from the router is literally ten times faster if I drag a cord to it instead of using the wireless access. I thought it was my computer so I tested it out with a couple of my friend's machines and they all experienced the same thing - very inconsistent connection speeds. Sometimes, it will blaze at 15,000, other times it churns along at 750... Plugged in, I regularly achieve 19-20,000 down regardless of time of day...

Hooked up my Bose system to the Plasma. Also installed the Samsung SMART BlueRay player and got Netflix going. I originally thought it would take a long time to download a movie or TV show. It takes under 15 seconds. So pleased with my set up now. Supercharge your TV and hook up a router! Even if your TV isn't capable they sell BlueRay SMART players that do for $100. No more going out and getting discs or mailing discs to Netflix.

My problem with the downloading movies from NetFlix is that it seems like they don't have enough of the movies i want to see. For example, when the last Harry Potter movie came out, I decided I wanted to watch all the earlier movies in order. So I went to the NetFlix site and they weren't there.

Not that I was going to go to see the new one in the theater or anything ... I'm too cheap for that.

i hear you Chris. netflix is awesome if you love cheesy B movies, but blockbuster movies are usually absent.

a couple shots from yesterday (iPhone quality mind you):
