Hey Gang:

A few of you know me and/or my car, and the fact that the car has spent the last 4 years in my garage getting basically a complete rebuild that included a 408 stroker motor... The project too approximately 3 years longer than planned, and during the course of the project, I put the car up for sale twice... Well, I am happy to say that it is basically done -- just needs paint now...

Yesterday, KillrB (a.k.a. - Brandon) and I took the car down to Pacific Raceways and ran an 11.3 at 117 on the first pass... We changed a few things and by nights end were running 11.1 at 119... This is all N/A...

Well --- to the point --- this would not have happened without a ton of help from Brandon... Those of you that know him, know he is a fountain of knowledge about Mustangs, and that he is a great guy... Those of you that don't know him -- should!!!!

I hope that all of you get to see the car -- it is amazing -- and I want everyone to know that I truly appreciate the help that Brandon gave me over the past four years, in terms of planning, know-how, wrenching, and just plain moral support...

See you at the track....

I appreciate the kind words. But you might want to issue a "public thank you" on a bill board somewhere to your wife........for not killing you! :D

It's gonna be a fun summer running that car and yanking the fronts off the ground every time!

John:

Yeah, it had heads and a cam.... :rlaugh: :rlaugh: :rlaugh: :rlaugh:

Seriously.... 351 hydraulic roller block, AFR 205's, 1.7 Scorpion RR, Jay Allen Custom grind cam (high lift/low duration), Vic. Jr. Spyder intake, 42 lb injectors, 90mm TB, Anderson Power Pipe, 1-3/4" LT headers, PMS tuning...

Totally streetable --- lifts both wheels off the ground when launching....

Seems there is always someone faster, better looking, making more money, living in a better house, has a more beautiful wife, and has a bigger pecker...

The game in life is to enjoy what you have....

It's a nice motor combination that runs on pump gas, drives perfectly around town and has over drive for cruising down the highway. With a little more tuning it will be a N/A 10.90 car. John (stock50) can relate to how cool that is. Can't imagine anything under 600 cubic inches running in the 9's all motor and still be enjoyable to cruise for any distance.

I'm crossing my fingers that my car will leave as hard as Earl's. It was a fun ride driving that thing!!!
