Our GTs have 2 1/2inch stainless steel exhaust with H pipe. I have flowmasters on mine and it sounds good. A little louder then stock but not too loud. I would do a search on here and listen to some exhaust clips to find one you really like.

Here ya' go. Here's a boatload of exhaust clips to dig through. With you already having 2.5" piping from the factory, and just looking to change the sound, all you need is an axle-back.

If you get the Gibson's, we'll definitely need some good sound clips for the exhaust thread. There's hardly any clips out there, and I'm interested in them as well. Go with the stainless. The aluminized ones will rust a lot quicker and living in OK, that's a real threat.

Are you coming to Midwest Mustang Madness? It's going to be a blast!

I had the gibsons on the car, my clips are up in the thread but the videos don't do them justice.

They sound really great in person.

You only have to worry about aluminized exhaust rusting if they salt the roads where you're at though. Rain shouldn't be an issue.

After much research I put on O/R h-pipe and put back on my stock mufflers. I had bought Flowmaster Super 40's on, BUT I did not realize I need to get the Super 40's mad specifically for the the mustangs. I didn't think it matter so I didn't realize it need to be made for this. The mufflers for the new mustang are designed for the axle back , the reason being is the short distance to the tip of the exhaust.

If any one knows someone that needs a pair of the Flowmaster Super 40's I will sell the ones I will no longer be needing. I know they won't go on the new mustangs but if you know someone that has a truck or a car with more distance to the tip. I will sell them cheap just PM me.
