? about 1/4 mile times

I have a 347 pushing over 300 RWHP and around 400 RWTQ. I have a 355 gear in the back and a would class t-5. I ran a 8.6 in a 1/8 mile with the old 302 and in the 1/4 i ran a 13.4 at 101mph. What will i be running with the 347 with some street slicks?

What does your car weigh. Do you have any suspension work. These are both critical in guessing 1/4 times.

How much hp did the 302 have?

Mike, I dont know how much it weighs and i dont have any suspention work dont to it yet. i have removed the back seat all the carpet in the back the seat belts and the back panels but everything else is stock.

I dont know how much but i know it had the GT-40 top and bottom intakes an E-303 cam and windsor heads. thats all it had. I would guesstamate at 250hp.

What year and model?

Lets say its 3300 for sake of argument. If you get good traction (slicks) and shift well it should run DEEP into the 12s. Again just a guess. Have you had it dynoed or are you guessing. If it really has 300rwhp and 400 torque then I would say 12.3-12.2.

It all really depends on how well it hooks and how well you drive.

A car that weighs 3200 or less and has 300 rwhp and has great traction and proper suspension setup will run high 11s. I have seen it done many times.

I am not saying your car will....but it may if you drive well and you get great traction.

Thanks mike it has been dynoed and it has alittle over 300 rwhp and right at 400 rwtq. What kind of slicks do i need i have a set of 15 inch wheels from another mustang. im going to redo the whole suspension.

Get a set of 26x10.5x15 slicks. They will fit and will work with your 3.55s.
Get some good upper/lower control arms and a set of dragshocks for the rear. Maybe even an airbag. Also remove that front swaybar for some weight transfer. You will have to drive very agressive to get low 12s.

I would recommend a set of 3.73s but the 3.55s will work.

well i have around 350-360 rwhp and you see what im running below, so im guessing that you will run around 12.60-12.70. but thats just a guess, only way to find out is go racing!

He should be way lower than that. I run those # with less than 300 rwhp.

when i bought my car all it had done to it was shorty BBK headers and a catback, so we are guessing i was about 260 rwhp. and i was running 13.90's-14.00's. a good rule of thumb every 50 horsepower is about 1 second in the quarter mile, til you start getting into heavy engine mods and suspension.

Are you saying that your 89 had 260 rwhp with only headers and catback?

87-92 had 225 hp and 300 ft/lbs at the motor. I don't what you are thinking.
