Do any of ya know if the tranny in a 90 T-Bird SC will bolt to a 5.0 engine. Also was that car offered with a 5.0 in that year. We have one here @ the shop (my old T-Bird) that one of our tire techs bought from me and he said last night the oil pressure dropped and he lost almost all power from the engine. He has a Linc Mark 8 5.0 engine in back of the shop they want to put in. Any ideas please.
Someone has to know if this will work.

The Super Coupes do not have a T-5, they have some Mazda 5-speed. Yes, I think you could get a 5.0 in a 90 tbird, but not with a 5 speed.

A lincoln Mark 8 should have come with a 4.6 not a 5.0. Do you mean Mark 7?

I had a 89 XR7 5 sp an I believe it had a truck transmission in it to handle the the torque...If it bolts up it might handle more power than a stock T5....You might get some info from the sccoa.com website

T-Bird SC's were only with supercharged 3.8 V6's for any of the production years.

Then yes it must be a Marl 7 then because its a 5.0. HMMMM Mazda huh, isn't Ford and Mazda about the same. He has the tranny outta the Lincoln as well. Do you think a T5 will work though.
