we aint hoongray no mo cuz. one thing i hate in movies is when they change the characters. vin diesel should've done the 2nd one, but like previously said before his ego is humongous. he then went and made movies like chronicals of riddick, which was okay. then he did the pacifier? wtf? he's a posterchild for being tough...

drifting is like the ballet of autosports: and last time i checked, ballet was gay.

on a more serious note, i have some pictures somewhere around here of the car. let me see if i can find them. i cant believe they trashed a 67 fastback like that though. and personally im GLAD they used rice in the first two movies, because if they had used our cars and f-bodies and stuff, and they butchered everything about it, i would have been SEVERELY pissed.

The Article I read said they went through quite a few 67 & 68 Mustangs and Sveral 70 Monte Carlos. Why dont they destroy the useless crap like the Civics?

the funny part to fast and furious 2 was the ridiculous over-useage of the word "BRAH" like every other line tyrese or paul walker is saying "BRAH" aggravated the hell out of me. on another note, the bad part about them putting the skyline motor in the 67 is not only the fact that they did that, but it's also not practical, going from a awd car to rwd car has to kill its drifting ability i would assume? if i am mistaken feel free to correct me, im no drift enthusiast.

Looks like they're trying to break ground and bring two cultures together.

I'm all for upgrading engines. I would love to own a 347 Miata, or even a small block RX7, but those are steps FORWARD....Even though i give the Skyline I6 props for being a great engine, it has nothing to gain over a big block in a vintage 'stang.

Well, it might take some time, but we all know what happened behind the scenes of the first movie. No wonder it lead to that. It's ghey to the bone, here's proof:

Half of you guys probably don't even know what that is. It's the engine from a Skyline GT-R, aka the RB26DETT...probably pushing 700hp. Calculate the weight savings, and that's one fast f'n Mustang. Streetable, too.

You're a tool. Regaurdless of how good that engine is (and i agree, that is a badass engine and i LOVE Skylines) the fact is, it just doesn't make sense, whether it works or not. There are some things in life that shouldn't be F'ed with and lines that shouldn't be crossed. There are also things that are just plain and simple unnecessary, and this is one of them. There is no shortage of power from the Ford catalog and no reason a Ford engine shouldn't be in that car.

Also, you need to do your math since you seem to know so much about imports, since there really isn't as much weight savings as you think (unless the stang ran a big block) because the I6 isn't exactly a small engine or small cubes, and when you factor in the turbo that just adds weight. If you ran a forced induction small block with tubular K member and suspension parts, you'd save the difference in weight.

The bottom line is, and what everyone is upset about, is that Mustangs have a sort of spirit to them, much like the Skyline has in Japan. In my opinion the two cars are both very badass in their own rights, but the two are from totally different worlds and make no sense combined. The Mustang is stripped of the heart that makes it what it is, that being a Ford powerplant.
