? about mass air flow sensor

i just finished my 2.3 to 5.0 swap and went carbed. the carb is pissing me off and i shouldn't have cut corners and went carbed so now i am putting in the fuel injection. i have a 302 with an E303 trick flow twisted wedge heads long tube exhaust and just ordered my typhhon intake and plennum with 70mm throttle body. the ? i have is will a stock maf work for the time being since i have stock injectors. i am trying to put off buying a 73mm maf for a little while. how is the car going to run with the stock maf. i know not as good as i want but will there be surges, black smoke, etc.......

what should i expect if i wait on getting the 73mm maf

Shouldnt have a problem. I ran the same sort of setup on my car for a while. Never had any trouble as far as driveablity or black smoke. Everything seemed to be the same.
