lol we get it.
you are rich
you love on3
your car is fast

I still think any stock blocked street car is better served by a blower.

The way turbo stuff is, i wouldnt trust the welds on a cheap kit for very long. If it were me, i would either buy a nice, expensive used kit, or get a B&G hotside, and build the coldside myself. Ive seen quality kits crack welds, so i couldnt imagine what the chinese steel kits would look like after a couple seasons of my abuse. The difference is, when you buy from someone like B&G, you get support, customer service, and someone that stands behind their product

Well money isnt an issue with me...i could have bought any turbo kit ANY....i wanted to give the under dog kit a chance why not...I have a stock bottom end anyways even this kit can split it...i figure when and if i do blow this motor up i build a Dart block and then maybe upgrade to a different turbo kit..Also boost is boost this kit will still propell my car into the 11's maybe 10's... My car is a vert and heavy so thats why i say maybe 10's ..AGAIN i will say this i drive this car daily for over a yr now it works great..Im not saying it wont have any issues or its perfect but AS of now its just fine.....

This theory is incredibly confusing.
You have plenty of money for quality parts and wouldn't mind going all out with a dart block and running 10's (for the records, you run 10's when you run 10's, theory does not apply).
Yet you buy a $1500 turbo kit from one of the worst notorious companies to experiment with it so the little guy (people on a budget) know it will work ok? Way to take one for the team.

Why do a dart block? I heard pepboys crate engines are great, try that out so i know if i can use one in the future.

Seriously though, you have plenty of money to do it right, yet you take a risk.
Your pockets must be seriously deep, because i don't gamble most of my drivetrain to score one for the underdog.
Essentially you are ok with paying to be a beta tester, that defies logic.

And if you really wanted to defend on3, you would have been better off just saying that it fit your budget and so far it works ok.
Instead you brag about how much money you have and how fast your car is (to a collection of guys with 500hp cars).

...like i said the car is a daily to me it has a stock block felt like playing around with a turbo..I hear bad from B&G too so dont go there ok,.... And what your jealous that i can spend money ....???? To me i didnt feel like going right to a dart block to build a fun street car...a car that will see some SOME track use...1st off a convertible really isnt the car to make a race car...i had the car laying around so i said why not ...before the turbo BY the way it was supercharged...To me the kit works maybe others have problems OH WELL there not my car...mine drives fine everyday....You like what you like and i like what i like...simple...AND again if the motor blows up i re-do it...no biggie....

and to run 11's high 10's in a mustang isnt Hard some boost, good trans, great tune, great suspension and your there.

You know there is a saying if you have nothing good to say then dont say anything....You can talk to your blue in the face on how bad On3 maybe it is...NEVER SAID IT WAS GOD AMONG TURBOS did i???? Just said for the price it seems to work fine.....

Jealous that you can spend money?
Money and fast cars are similar in a way.
People with money never point out how much money they have and people with fast cars never talk about how fast their car is.
Two things you apparently love to do.

I find it rather ironic that someone with a $1500 turbo kit on their car questions if someone with a terminator powered fox is jealous that he can spend money at will.

The on3 is junk, and most people know that when purchasing it. You get what you pay for in the car world. Nobody said your car wasnt any good. Relax

Maybe work on your insecurity issues.
Nobody attacked you or your car personally, although you took it that way. I didn't see where anyone told you to rid of your fox or even change what you have.

You also should consider posting with a little less emotion, you come off extremely defensive and overcompensate by telling us how great you and your stuff is.
Nothing wrong with debating a product's quality, but seriously consider choosing what items you get on your soap box for a little more wisely.

My points about on3 have little to nothing to do with you.
It was about helping the OP make an educated decision.
If you read some of my posts on stangnet in general, you will realize many of them are an attempt to prevent people from buying inferior products, i've been there, done that.
Economizing with the best is the way to go, which is sure as hell cheaper than doing it twice.

Never run or installed an On3. One of the dudes at work installed one on his 96. Took him two weekends for the install and another couple weeks to get the tuner coordinated. 3 years so far without any down time. He's adjusted a couple things here and there and replaced some clamps that he didn't like. He DDs the thing. Think he said he's running 8-9 lbs.

The two on3 Kit's I've seen have fit terrible. The first one on a sn95 I had to relocate the abs pump, they recommend bending it out of the way, really? The second on a fox, the hot side fit ok but the cold side was garbage and found it easier to my my own cold side for the car. Get what you pay for. By the time both cars were done the customer could have spent the same money and had a nice kit more for parts but less for labor. To each their own I guess. It's VORTECH or bust for me.

LOL damn trophyhead...check your messages....or conversations? i don't know how this new stangnet works.

anyways, i see this topic has stayed active in my absence, LOL. here's a little update for you guys. i ordered a bunch of stuff to go with the turbo kit, all of which has come in except for the turbo kit itself, boost controller, and maf housing. kind of a cheesy way to do this but here is a list of what i got:

- 340lph in tank pump (some said it was overkill, but is a lot cheaper than a boost a pump and gives me some room to grow if needed)
- 42# injectors (yes, those are 42# injectors. they are fresh remans from TLF Performance Parts that the dude painted lipstick red for some reason. i have a flow sheet for them)
- PMAS HPX slot style maf sensor
- D'Agostino Racing maf housing in 3" (thanks raceoholic!!)
- Innovate MTX-L wideband
- Hallman PRO RX manual boost controller
- Autometer boost/vacuum gauge
- glowshift triple A-pillar pod

should be enough to get it going at least. i've had that fuel pressure gauge for years, i just never put it on. i'll probably order a cage and a moates quarterhorse in the next few weeks as well. then a tko, then rebuild the rear, then...

Well look what showed up today...

i got the complete kit in, but didn't feel like unpacking, setting up for picture, then repacking. i'll do that later. I have to finish some customers' cars to clear out some space in the shop for my car and then i'll start putting this baby on!
