The abs light and the coolant lights won't seem to turn off on my 00 gt. They have both been on for awhile now. Today, I went and had my brakes and rotors done, and also had my radiator flushed. The shop told me I have to go to the dealer to get the abs looked at, and for the low coolant light, I have to get a new coolant recovery tank.

Is there any way to reset these lights, or possibly something I can do real quick to get these sensors to turn off? Thanks for the advice.

Look at the coolant level sensor in the coolant tank. If it has sunk to the bottom, that is why the light is on. Two things cause this. 1)there is sludge on the sensor guide (the part that the sensor slides up and down on) or 2) you do not have a 50/50 coolant mix. If you don't have the perfect mix, the sensor will sink to the bottom of the tank. You want it floating. So try adding more coolant and see what the sensor does. If that doesn't work add water.

The ABS can go off if the ABS sensors are defective (1 for each wheel). You can try cleaning them with a Q-tip. Or get a voltmeter and measure the volts. If the sensor is not getting any voltage, you know it's the problem. OR you might have a faulty ABS module all together. If that's the case, don't let the dealer sell you a new one for $1000 because they can be found on ebay for much much cheaper. You can take it to the dealership to have the ABS system diagnosed for around $100. They will tell you problem, and then you can replace the sensor or ABS unit yourself. Hope this helps
