ABS Light

i got a 1995 Mustang GT and my abs light was unpluged underneth the hood next to the coolant resovoir and i plugged it back in and my abs light came on and my abs did not work i was just wondering what makes it do that

being broken would make the light go on.
light shoulda gone on even if it was unplugged.
Do you have a picture of the wire, or was the whole unit unplugged? Is it a daily driver that needs it, or can you just eliminate the abs as a weekend warrior?

Does your car have bigger aftermarket wheels? The original owner may have had a big wheel with large tires. Since I put the 03 Cobra's on my car with 275-40's all around I got that light too.

it is a daily driver but the light does not come on when it is unplugged and it has the stock wheels on it i do not what is wrong
