ok so the ac on my fox is gone. none of it is there. the bracket that goes to the head, nada...

the previous owner just had a short belt and no power steering and i want to put the power steering back and was wondering what kits come with everything you need to put th epower steering pump back on the car.

i looked at a few online and there is no way they are gonna work. they are just some little tabs that bolt on but there is nothing in them to space it off the head to keep the belt ligned up. will i have to find that bracket that the ac compressor sits on to close the gap? or is there a kit that comes with everything.

If you have a P/S pump, the A/C delete bracket from Ford Racing just attaches the pump at a slightly higher position and you run a stock-length non-A/C belt. It comes with the necessary bolts and spacer to do the job, but you'll still need the bracket that houses the power steering pump, itself (hit up the junkyard, Craigslist, or eBay for that).

The other A/C delete kits (TrickFlow, March, etc.) require you to use the A/C-equipped bracket and flip the tensioner, which is kind of a Mickey-Moused setup, IMO. :notnice:

March makes you flip the tensioner?? for the money they charge you think it would be a complete setup that you could just bolt in and go...

+1

Ford Racing is the factory A/C delete kit, so it's superior to all other kits

As long as you have the PS pump with the round bracket attached, the ford kit will be all you need. You may need bolts however as i forget which it comes with
