Does anyone know if I can change the bearing in my AC compressor pulley/clutch? The barely audible whine is driving me bonkers. I changed out the idle pulley which was whining like a banshee, but the AC problem remains. I am clueless when it comes to the cars HVAC system. Did a search, and found out I don't have the clutch with the 3 rubber discs on the front. If I have to change out the whole thing, what exactly do I change? Does the clutch include bearing, pulley, etc? Or are they individual parts? Etc. Any help would be great so I know what to ask for at the local parts store (or on ebay).

The clutch dissassembly proceedure requires a puller to remove the hub. You can buy one for $16, or rent one from Autozone. Once the hub is off, there should be a large snap ring that holds the A/C pulley in place. Remove the snap ring and you should be able to remove the pulley and press out the bearing. Your local bearing supply store should be able to supply a replacement sealed bearing at a reasonable price.
