Ac Pump Delete ?help

the ac pump on my 95 gt is going out (loud noise, smell) so i was thinkin i wil jus delete it and get some more power but i am not sure what size belt i need to get.i already know i must pull the pump out from the bottom (from what ive been told) but what belt size do i need please help

Best way to determine belt lengths, is to take a piece of string (long) and wrap it around the pulleys in the new configuration. Then just measure how long it is to where the two ends meet, and there ya go.

thats what i was thinkn thanks, now i know theres going to be a couple hoses i need to bypass but other than that what should i look out for, tips to make it easier on me

when i did away with my a/c and smog i took a ribbon,like you wrap presents with,ran it around the pulleys,measured it and bought that exact length and it fit perfectly.but i had to go to napa to get it cuz az,advance did not carry the size i needed.wait till you pull all those ugly lines and see how much it cleans up the engine bay,i couldnt believe,i wish i had done it sooner.and dont forget about the big cooler for the a/c in front of the radiator,get that out of there also.

The compressor comes out with four bolts from the driverside. You don't have to do anything on the front of it. There is a bolt holding the lines in the back of the compressor. There will be two connections behind your passenger side headlight which go to the radiator type piece in the front, and there are two connections on the passenger side firewall. Basically, follow the lines, and remove everything that they hook up too. You will need fuel/AC line removal tools. I got the plastic ones at Autozone for like $5. I can't help you with the belt. I did the smog at the same time, and I think my belt is a 71.5" if I remember correctly.

There's probably no single, faster way to have the EPA at your house, if you get caught doing that. Any competent HVAC shop could evacuate the system for you for extremely cheap, and maybe even free if they're feeling generous.

I had to go back and forth to the store 4 times. Once cuz it was too long, so i decided to go two shorter to make sure it was tight on the tensioner, then they gave me the wrong one, then i got one shorter, and then one shorter, and viola! They now know who i am.
