AC stud doesnt fit?

I deleted my ac. Why doesnt the long stud that holds the PS/AC assy fit into my trickflow heads. The hole in the head is much larger than the stud. I checked my stock heads, it looks like the hole in the stock head has some kind of filler in it to make up for the extra space, Any ideas? Thanks


BTW, my friends mustang has the same setup, and it doesnt look like his stud is threaded into his stock heads, looks like its just kind of in there.

Trick Flow makes a reducer bushing that inserts in the head for that reason. I just went down to my local machine shop and they had them in stock. The ones I got also plugged the holes in the back of the heads for removal of the smog equipment.
