Summit Racing part # ACC-140032

Right around $220-$230 for a set of 8. Correct me if im wrong, but thats cheaper than Motorcraft.

I know Accel has a good rep. so I think I might go with these as replacments. Pretty sure mine are on their way out just by a visual inspection and the fact I have a cold start miss, and this pinging... I will try cleaning the MAF first though, but do you guys think this is a good option?

I went with these

I'm guessing these are very easy to install and the process is self explanatory? I feel like i have a bit of a miss when cold and if changing the plugs doesnt help, ill go with those Accel SuperCoils

Super easy to do, unclip the wire connector at each COP, and remove 1 single bolt... remove and replace COP, put bolt back in and reconnect the connector.

I have the same symptoms you do with the cold miss. I changed my plugs and it didnt do anything.

Where do I find out how much this Randy guy charges for the Motorcraft ones? The Accel's are only 27 bucks a pop, even the other off brand aftermarket ones seemed to be around 40-65 bucks PER COP!!!

The stock coils are the best for lightly modded cars, there is zero advantage to changing them unless they fail. Save your money and spend it on something else.

What he's saying is the stock Motorcraft ones cost more than these COP's and the Accels have a good reputation. So he can upgrade AND save money

Rocketman,
How do you like your Granetelli's...everyone else here hates their products, but being that I'm not N/A anymore....aftermarket COP's seem like they may be a worthwhile investment....just aren't a whole lot of aftermarket options right now for COP's.....did you see any gains

I know, and im not doing this as a mod... But I strongly beleive my stock Motorcraft ones are on their way out, and the Accel's are cheaper replacments and they have a good rep. behind their name...:nice:
