Not as bad as I thought it would be. I drove by it today and to my great surprise, the damage seems almost minor. I thought the damage to the door would require a whole new door but an eyeball inspection suggests that a lower patch panel will take care of the job. I will need new front and rear valances and a new spoiler. I know the axle took almost all the impact but I have new rear 31 spline axles sitting in the basement anyway, along with a new locker and new gears. As long as the housing is ok, it looks like I will only need a new rear wheel (already ordered) and a new tire. I still have to see if the brake rotor and caliper are ok.

I have rounded up all the parts I need except for one thing. If you didn't see the thread, both seats broke the hinges and went back all the way. I cannot seem to find new hinge pins for both seats. I see that NPD has them for just the left side but not both sides. Can anybody point me in the right direction where to get a right hand hinge pin for the seat?

the only reason NPD sell the pins they do is because of a Ford recall back in the day and that they are still a common part that needs replacing, the pins on the other side are not repro'd at all. your best bet is either new seats or at least a set of slavaged seat frames so you can swap the buns and covers from your old ones over to the new ones. sorry but that is the only option if you want to keep your current upholstery.

Well Jerry, they say timing is everything and both mine and yours suck! I threw out two '69 mach 1 seats just yesterday. They had been taking up space in my garage for too long. They needed new upholstery and one of the bottom frames was cut up. I would so much rather have given you something you could use than trash them, but they sat in the way for almost a year. I should have posted something here before deciding to clean house:bang:

Rattus Fornicatio!

I guess I should put up a WTB on the classified section and see if anything takes.

Oh well, it is only money.

BTW, your sig reveals that you have one sweet ride. Enjoy it in good health and be forewarned that it can snap around on you in an instant.

Where are the photos of the car showing the damage? Do you have any?

I haven't taken any just yet. I had to take my wife to the airport early yesterday morning (rather unexpectedly) and it occurred to me only after dropping her off that I was about 30 mins from the shop. The day my mechanic tells me he is putting the car up on the lift to see what's what, I will go over with the camera.

I do have two leads on replacement seat frames. I want to thank Brian for alerting me that I won't find hinge pins for the passenger's side so I won't lose any more time searching for that needle in a haystack.
