Accufab 70mm Plenum/TB installed.

I went ahead and installed the Accufab 70mm Throttle Body and Plenum today. Previously the only time I've ever done any work under the hood was when I replaced the stock paper filter with a K&N, so I did not know what to expect. I found the install to be very easy and straight foward. I had the new plenum and tb on in about 20 minutes. Attaching the 65mm inlet tube to the 70mm TB was another story. It took some time but I finally got it to squeeze on to the TB. It sure won't be coming off anytime soon.

After everything was connected I fired up the car. It sounded a bit louder, and I noticed that the rpm's would stay up much longer after I revved it. I did one last check to make sure everything was tightened down, then I took it out for a spin.

First off, wow. It sounds louder than stock, and it makes a nice woosh when you get on it. You can really feel the power gains in mid range. My first test was a second gear punch from about 3,000 RPM. It picked up right away and pulled hard up to redline. I was very impressed and pleased with the results.

I did a few more tests and it feels much more powerful from idle to redline. Mid-range is definately where it gained the most. Dyno's show that the Accufab 70mm combo gains ~15-18 rwhp around 3800 and I don't doubt them one bit. It sure as hell felt like it.
