I need one of you guys to do me a huge favor and try and get me some pics of the inside of the plenum both at the t/b open towards the inside and the plenum base towards the inside at a few different angles. Can someone please help me out?
I am just trying to see why it flows so well by looking at the inside. I am going to port a stock one and try it to make it as close to the accufab as possible and see if I can get close to the same numbers without paying that much money.
I have read all of the articles and I know that the accufab puts down the best numbers but I want to see why. If someone would show pictures of the inside then we could really see why it puts down better numbers.
Well, I've picked up and looked at all 4 plenums when the test was in progress last thursday. They all have slightly different bends. The dragon has this rail going across the opening to make that ringing sound. All of them looked very similar. So, I guess it's the degree of the bends for air to rush through the plenum that makes the power..

They got small gains from the ported stock plenum, but when looking at the pictures looks like they didn't port it the right way:
In the picture you can still see the bottom walls where the flow is bended 90 degres, so that ported intake still has a sharp angle like a L, when I ported mine I notice that the flow was like a L, so I tried to make the flow as a J as possible by smoothing the L (thanks to my Dremel tool), so the bottom walls that you see in the above pictures are gone in my stock plenum:
