There is a good selection of 4r70w torque converts on Summit, but they are all for 11.4 inch bolt pattern. I believe the 99 & up Mustang GT has a 10.5 inch pattern.

Anyone know the technique to install a converter with 11.4 pattern in my transmission? If you know the part numbers of the stuff, that would rule. I have searched for hours, but nothing specific...

The selection you are thinking is good actually sucks. It will actually be a downgrade from your stock unit. If you really want to run one get a flexplate from ford. There are 4 options in flexplates. 6 bolt, 11.250 pattern or 10.625
8 bolt same options. 3.8 converters are all 11.250 pattern the gt are 10.625.

The TCI Streetfighter 3000 might be a decent converter. Check out the article on TCI's website for the install on a 99 Mustang GT and draw your own conclusions. I would like to have some other good converter options beyond the PI triple disk paradigm.
