If the MAF is cut out, how is is the car adjusting the timing and pulsewidth since it has no way of calculating the load? Pretty much all our important tables are based on load and rpm.

They told me the o2 sensors take care of that

From what I've heard the 80 mm won't fit with my BBK CAI. Will the 77 mm fit and are they as highly/properly calibrated as the 80 ?

The electronics are the same on both mafs.

The 80 will work just fine with a home made cai constructed with a short length of three inch pvc & two plumbing couplers. It can be built for very little $$$.

He's confused, probably getting mixed up with speed density.

That's great. Thanks for the input folks. My concern now is to decide on what to do. I certainly don't want to open up the car anymore especially after finding out how rich it's running. I'm cleaning my cylinders of oil from all that extra fuel on WOT.
I don't know if I want to get a new MAF or just go with a DFI or Holley Commander stand alone setup in which case I wouldn't need the MAF.

WOW!!! That is really scary if they use to work for Ford. They must have been the guys sleeping in the corner while the rest of the people did the work. After hearing that you better not trust those guys anymore, they obviously do not know what they are talking about.

Anyway, the 77mm is very precise like the 80mm, however, the 77 is about $100US more. Personally, I would scrap the BBK CAI, b/c I hate BBK , and then get the 80mm MAF and a PowerPipe. The PowerPipe looks much better and it will make more power with the MAF. After that you can redyno the car. You will be spending a lot more money going this route, but I dont think you will be upset later. Remember, you can sell the 75mm MAF and BBK CAI on the internet (ie Ebay) and probably get $100.

C & L have an interesting package for the 94/95's as well. How do they compare to the Pro M's? Do you think I'll need that AFPR after I try out a new MAF? You see, here in Ontario, having an open air filter is an emissions violation so I want the filter covered or in the fenderwell like the BBK cold air kit does. The C & L package also has the filter covered up.

I read this about the Anderson Power pipe and this is the 94/95 specific pipe as well :
The entire pipe is held in place by the rubber sleeve on the throttle body. took a long time to twist it and get the right fit, but still bounces around in the fenderwell. Had to custom make a rubber fitting for the fenderwell. No place to put oil breather line. Pipe hits the oil cap and alternator.
I was so disapointed with this product. Way overpriced for what you get. Don't know why they wouldn't make a braket to bolt it to the fenderwell? You'll have to do alot of twisting, readjusting and custom work to get it to fit securely. Would be nice for a drag car, but not a street car.

My engine builder is actually very good at what he does and he is one of the best if not theeee best DFI tuners in the province. He's also a turbo specialist in regards to Mustangs or whatever else you want to put a turbo on. I believe what you say about the MAF at WOT and it's possible that my engine builder made an error in regards to this.

Again, I appreciate your assistance in this matter.

The AFPR ran more pressure than stock -- even with it adjusted all the way down??? Maybe a problem with the AFPR?

Well in my experience with mechanics, the good ones I've talked to know exactly what they're doing but not what they're saying. Mechanics aren't communication experts by any means.

DJHA - I rehooked up the stock regulator after the AF readings we received with the AFPR and the the AF was just as rich.

Zero Signal - This is true. When he's working I can't even talk to him because he's too busy concentrating on his work...heheee. He's a good guy.
