Hi guys, here's an easy one. Amazingly, I couldn't find the answer anywhere I looked.
A buddy of mine with a 5.0 Bronco just slapped a Powerdyne kit on. He put an adjustable FP regulator on there, and found that he had a leak, so he swapped the stock one back on. Basically, he bought a second adjustable regulator, which doesn't appear to be leaking, but he's noticed that the FP gauge on the rail stays at 40ish with the stock regulator, regardless of key position (i.e. car off, and car on.) With the adjustable, he's around 40 with ignition on or running, but it drops back down to zero when he shuts it off.
He wants to know if that's normal.
